This solar calculator helps estimate how much electricity a solar PV system can produce during the year and in each month. The calculation takes into account the installation location, solar field power, azimuth and panel tilt angle.
Enter a settlement or select a point on the map, the solar field power, panel direction by compass and tilt angle. The calculator shows annual production, monthly average and production per 1 kW, and allows comparison of different directions and tilt angles.
The calculator uses standard compass azimuth: 0° — north, 90° — east, 180° — south, 270° — west. The value can be entered manually or changed with the slider. Tilt angle ranges from 0° to 90°.
Production is calculated using PVGIS 6 data. The calculator uses these data to estimate the energy potential of a solar PV system and compare panel orientation and tilt options.
